What's your favorite time of the year to ride? And what's the best road to go on for that ride?
For me it's definitely fall rid'n and St. Rt. 800 or 212 south to the Ohio river. And of course the longest ride back!
Living in Tucson Summer is my least favorite time to ride. The other seasons are all good. My favorite ride is up Catalina Highway that goes up to the top of Mt. Lemon. It's my daily, morning ride.
Fall to winter is the best time for me to ride . The chill in the air , wearing full leathers, the bike is running awesome through the twisties . Up through Wickenburg to Yarnell Hill and into Prescott. Having a cheeseburger an thick milkshake at Kendells. Very nice indeed I can`t wait to go this year !
Fall riding, wearing the leathers in the crisp mountain air, while the cagers look @ ya with "THAT" look......up on Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Mntns., Va....... which is 40 miles from my garage door....

A quite nice ride, Steve. Let me know sometime when your are coming up. Kat and I have breakfast at the top of the Yarnell hill at the Country Kitchen on Sundays.
My particular favorite ride this time of year (which is my favorite riding season) is Prescott-Mingus-Jerome-Sedona-Oak Creek Canyon-Flagstaff. With a stop at the 66 Road House in Bellemont for a self cooked steak and a HOT cuppa something. Layers are advisable as temps can be as high as 80 in Sedona and low 40s in Flag.
The fall is my favorite time to ride. The rain in the spring is way too unpredictible & I can't stand sweltering in the summer heat. I like the Fall because all I need is a thin pair of gloves and a lite coat.
Today was a perfect day for ridin. It was about 68 degrees and sunny. I put on about 60 miles just toolin around North Western, CT.
