Has anyone else seen the HD boots that have the rubber hook type thing made into the middle of the sole to use to hang on the highway peg? I saw some at a local dealer a while back and thought they would be incorporating these in all of their boots but now do not see them any more. I have search every where on the net but cannot find them because I do not what HD calls it.
I am thinking of getting some Ariat boots that have the same concept but are metal. They call them Metal Mounts. I tried to find some reviews on how the mounts work but cannot find a review on that part either. I am afraid the metal would scratch up my highway peg since I have some where the rubber is just on the front of the peg and not all the way around.
I would like to compare these two systems but cannot figure out the name of the HD ones.
DO they release quickly, or do you have to do anything to get it off the peg (like lift it up higher) that would slow down reaction time when you need to go from Hiway peg to brake? I just envision boot stuck on peg when I need to be braking. Sounds dangerous to me but maybe I'm not understanding what is involved

Thanks in advance for any help.
No thanks, I don't want anything to come between me and getting my foot off a footpeg. Just ask anybody who has had their laces catch on one.
LMAO ....you guys are great LOL..what he is talking about doesn't latch you onto the peg !! forget harley crap boots and get the ariat boots , your feet will thank you !!
How stretched out are your legs that you need a hook to keep your foot on the hiway pegs???
Wouldn't it be better to reconfigure your hiway pegs or forward controls to a more comfortable position? nomsayin???
they arent hooks , just a modified part of the tread that helps "catch and hold" the peg , you don't notice them when walking they are that small. just another aid that helps you relax
