LOL...those things are hilarious!

I went on a ride this weekend and temps were around 35*. Started off on the highway and once the face got numb, the only things that killed me were my hands, specifically the right one because I could tuck the left one in and shield it from the wind.

On country roads below 55 mph, it wasn't too much of an issue but that wind really makes a difference. Ordered some gauntlet gloves to see if they'll help any and I'm not looking for gloves that keep my hands warm for hours and hours but something that prevents it from feeling like my hand is frostbitten and about to fall off!

We'll see how these gloves do but if they don't work, I guess I'll just ride when it's warmer. YMMV but for me, these are ridiculous and I'd rather not ride than ride with these things on

My buddies had some too and put them in the palm of their gloves but I had a different idea: Since the main blood flow going to the hands is exposed on the top of your hand (look at the veins!), I dropped a packet in the top of my hand inside the glove and I was toasty all day. My buddies were all complaining about how cold their hands were and how dangerous it was to lose feeling - they tried this idea and it worked great for everyone. I don't ride frequently at 40 degrees or below, but this is my solution for my hands...
this!

works so well because you're actually heating the blood supply for your hands, so your fingertips stay warm

Nice suggestion, but I think I am too vain to ride with these on my bike. I won't even put an EZPASS on my handlebars because of how it looks up there.

Bought some really thin gloves, they could be liners for $5 from Walmart. They fit great under my regular leather gloves and I can ride to 30 degrees no problem.

I just use a cheapo pair of stretch gloves underneath my thermal lined gauntlet gloves. Works good enough for me.
Those things are a riot but I just can't see having them on my bike.
