ive heard it called a fathead for the twin cams...just recently heard it referred as "twinkie". 80" always heard called evo's and sometimes blockhead. i thought ironheads were the older sporty motors. never heard "castlehead"
Not saying Amsoil is correct but on there cross reference oil chart they call it an Ironhead.
The Ironhead is an older HD engine.

Yes, the Ironhead is a very popular engine for classic sporties and IIRC, was last built almost 30 years ago...
I have heard an EVO called a "Blockhead", never heard castlehead either.

As stated the riders/enthusiasts gave the various engines their names. Harley accepted and perpetuated them. Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead and Shovelhead were called so because of their patricular head or valve cover design/appearance. The Evolution mo****r was a HD designator as is the Blockhead name. Evo and Twinkie are again rider/enthusiasts names given those engines. Ironhead is indeed a rider name for the early Sporty engines. I think Blockhead kinda went out of favor because of the negative use of the term. Revolution, I believe, is the name HD gave the liquid cooled Vrod engine.
