Does anyone ride while taking blood thinner?

Had a friend who was a hemopheliac(beeder). He rode all the time. Said he'd rather Live his life to the fullest than die locked in his house. He had a bad wreck and didn't make it. He died doing what he loved.
I take blood thinners and I ride as often as I can. I had open heart surgery almost 6 years ago. Figure I am ahead of the game by those 6 years.
I love to ride. The freedom of the open road and not sitting in a steel cage is the best therapy I can get. I have severe disk disease and arthritis in all my joints. When I ride I don't notice the pain. Best painkiller in the world.
Is it a risk that you ride on blood thinners? Is it a risk that you walk down the street? Forget about it and just go on living your life to the fullest.

Why is it that the people who think we shouldn't do something are the same people who do nothing in their lives? As long as you feel you can do it, keep riding. Your wife didn't get you the bike for it to sit in the garage.

Took blood thinners for 3 years after 2 stint placements and had occasional nose bleeds that lasted 2 days. Never stopped riding even though the cardiologist told me even a small crash could be the end. When it's time...it's time. Ride on.
