I want to buy this Harley in Feb. but i dont have the "M" endorse license and none of the classes start till March. how the hell do i get it home or even drive it without the license?
I dont have any friends that ride and one of my friends is actually waiting for me to get my bike before he even looks.
Any idea's?
Will a Harely dealer let me drive off with it as long as i have a regular drivers license?
I Know Mike's Famous will not let you drive it home, but they do offer delivery service to your door. I bought mine before getting the endorsement and asked them (Smyrna) if they would deliver it and they said "no Problem".
I am from Wisconsin but I'm sure when it comes to proper endorsements most states are alike. What I did was first book a cycle road test and if I pass I'm good to go,but as a back up plan I also signed up for the classes(which is one weekend long) . That way if I fail at the state testing center I'm already booked for the classes. Not to mention the classes are $200.00 and the test is only$35.00
Ok we're talking different country's here but don't you have to go in and do a written first before you do an on road test for an M license. Here in canada my wife went in did a written and passed then learned to ride then went and did the course which she passed and they gave her the M1 , with in 2 years ( I think ) she goes and does the road test again to get a full M.
Not sure how your state works but in WV you take a written test at the DMV (25 questions) and get your permit with 70% or better. It's a 90 day permit that allows you to ride from sun up to sun down without a passenger. During that 90 day period you can bring a motorcycle to the DMV for the riding test or complete the MSF class to receive your endorsement.

Just curious, but what business is it of the dealer's if you have a MC endorsement or not? Do they check everyone's license when they ride on/off their lot. If you bought it, it's not their bike.
