Congrats! No way we would give up the Kings but at your age with the type of riding you primarily do plus your obvious attraction to the NT it was the way to go. Enjoy!

As far as counter balancers, my FXST 88 -- a Night Train's silver twin has one. My 170 hp. at the rear wheel Hayabusa has two...

U just cant put all the softails in one basket as far as how comfortably they are...

Son had a NT and Deuce,, He's in good shape, works out 3days a week and still both of them were about 2-3 hr before they started hurting him..

A Lux, FB or a Heritage is a totally different ride. And IMO the Lux and Heritage with the bigger seat and floorboards is a completely different and better ride for longer hrs in the saddle.
Add the mini apes that the Heritage has and IMO for a stock set up its hard to beat it for comfort in the Softail line...

Hell, I'm 52 years old, and there's nothing that could make me switch over to anything other than what I'm riding right now. Too much fun and too good looking..Kind of like me.
I just can't do the king thing, or a bagger for that matter. They just don't light my fire.

With a set of Pro-Tech front springs, along with a Shotgun air ride, the NT ride is as smooth as Aladdin's magic carpet.

I have a 2010 RK, but wish I could own both. The Night Train looks so cool. Maybe someday.
