I ride a lot of funerals with PGR. After about 30-40 min of 25mph over 100 degrees the oil temp gauge would be at 300 with the stock setup. Parades felt like it was going to burst into flames. After the stage 1 it's significantly cooler, about 275 in the same situations.
Haven't done anything else, it's not made of glass, I just ride it.
as for riding this is my main transportation. i do run synthetic in all the holes and have the stage 1 setup, been looking into oil coolers (it makes sense) any 1 better than the other? also read on another thread about XiEDs from http://www.nightrider.com/parts/
