I'm surprised no one's started a thread. The program is now on line. I"m not overwhelmed by it I guess 'cause it's only available on the Sportster. I do like the fit shop which helps you choose accessories to make the bike comfortable to each rider.
Blah, blah, blah 1200 Sportster that nobody buys anyway and if they did they're overpaying for something they're going to want to trade up from and they'll find out how badly they overpaid. Big deal. Once again the Moco manages to underwhelm everyone following a "Big" announcement. If they wanted to test the waters for such a program they would have been better off using a bike that's popular with a wider audience who have the money to spend on some real changes from a stock configuration.
I think its pretty cool although I think there should be more options such as Headlights, fenders, shocks etc.......BTW I love the fat front tire on the new 1200C.
Looks like a big step in right direction. I worked through it just for fun and seemed like the price was cheaper than if you had dealer do the customization? Seemed like they weren't charging for labor just parts? I noticed color selection didn't seem to be any better than it is now though. Seems like with a Harley you have to choose between the color you want and the model you want if buying stock. Colors on the customization were much more realistic than they are at many other places on harley site. I don't get why the HD site posts half good outdoor pictures, and half drab pictures that don't show true colors. For instance to nail down what dark candy rootbeer/light candy rootbeer on an RKC looks like sparkling in the sun you have to google a lot for true pic. http://*******.com/49u4zep
So overall very cool - looking forward to rollout on other classes like dyna, softail, touring.
I'm gonna go check it out now. It is lame they only offered it to the Sportster but, you gotta start somewhere and see the demand.
If it is used enough who knows where it'll go.
Just used it to build one and it is actually really freakin neat. I'm really digging the look the 1200C took this year. And the solo spring seat they offer for it is sweet.
I hope it sticks around and they expand it to more models and some more part offerings. I feel like for what I added, it would be a good price compared to doing it separate.

No they have added paint schemes and new parts for at least several models, not just Sportsters.
