Default Grip Replacement Video

Bought some new grips to put on my bike and was looking for a video tutorial and found this. Makes the process much easier.

P.S. Dropped those little brass ferrules four times.

Consider yourself lucky you didn't drop them down the cable sleeve. I close off the cable openings with a wad of masking tape and roll the bike onto a big piece of cardboard or solid color sheet before doing this job. It makes it easier to find things you drop.

Hang a bucket from the bars & they will fall in if you drop them. Also a dab of Vaseline or grease will keep them in place when reinstalling.

I sure didn't have a video or anything....those little bastard brass things. Little dielectric grease and good to go.

What's even more fun is getting the ISO grips on and glued...lol. Rubber and metal are fun to squeeze together.

Newer ISO's now have the HD type channel on the left grip so no more glue is required
