"One shot, one kill" seems a bit silly when you can take hundreds. Experiment with exposure, different lighting, depth of field, etc. Take the same shot with different lenses. You're bound to have a couple of "keepers". And then there's Photoshop...

I find that the time of the day makes a difference. I like mornings and evenings when the sun is low for taking photos. The light is softer. I don't like the glare that can come off of the chrome. The attached photo is the best I ever took. The light is perfect. I've never been able get the same "feel" in a photo since. But I keep trying.

Nicely done. Did you take more rom different angles?

If you have pictures in bike mags that you like try to emulate what they did using the same heights, angles, lighting, poses, etc.. And learn how to use photoshop. That program can make mediocre pictures look great. ( I rely heavily on this as I suck as a photographer!!)

It was the best of 5 with a cheap camera, at the Chicago Airshow.
