Hey, I joined this site in hopes of finding out what kind of Harley to buy first. I don't want anything too expensive, just something to learn on and get comfortable. Maybe something I can begin to build into a better bike once I've become comfortable? Thanks.

Welcome from Virginia! What type of riding will you be doing? How much expierience riding do you have? If you are just starting out, I would suggest getting a copy of Ride Like A Pro V DVD and watch closely. The chapter on slow speed manuvering is worth the price alone. Take a MSF course. Then start sitting on bikes at the dealer until you find one that fits you. Whatever your budget, you can find a bike that you can afford. H3ll, I found a 93 Sportster for under 2K by accident while visiting family in Kansas City. The bike you want is out there, you just have to look. Ride safe!
Road King is a good one, so is the Heritage classic. Both are easy handling and come with saddle bags that you might find usefull. If your short the Heritage classic is based on the softail chassis and might be the easiest to handle, much easier than a sporster, believe it or not. Lots of well cared for used bikes out there, start looking.
Welcome to the Forum. You dont state if you have any riding experience or not so its a bit of a stretch for anyone to make to many recomendations as to which bike. "Not to expensive" is all relative to your budget. Got to have new or will clean used work for you? The great thing about Harleys is there is one out there for everyone!
