FXRG stuff aside (because i heard they are good i just never tried one) the HD leathers are thin, cheap buffalo leather and basically boutique jackets. i don't wear any clothing with emblems on it, i have no problem with it, it's just not my style.
HD doesn't make clothes, they make motorcycles. They just license clothing companies to make stuff with the HD logo on it.
What cracks me up is the guys that swear a HD item is superior to the exact same thing that a company makes without the HD logo on it.
HD is in a league of their own when it comes to marketing. They know how to make their customers drink the kool aid and turn them into sheeple!
You can buy the same stuff without the logo, usually for far less money.
But then, no one would know you owned a HD if you didn't walk around like a mobile billboard?
I always forget, mcrider. What kind of non-HD motorcycle is it that you ride? Go away, TROLL.
i never had a leather from the shop to much $$$ the only thing i have with a hd logo is a vest with the fat boy on top of vest and i paid$40.00 for it sold the hog stuff and paid $ 20.00 for it still wear my old army field coats old school
I wear HD jeans, jackets, t-shirts, soxs, leather jackets, leather chaps, HD boots, leather gloves, skull caps, baseball hats, wool hats, sunglasses, riding glasses and HD helmets. They may not be brand new and look like hell. But it's taken me years to get all of them.
Just bought a H-D brand jacket - with logos - at West Palm Harley yesterday. Parts guy gave 10% off the $400 retail. For the quality of the lined jacket and the fit, I think the price is very fair. Ever priced Alpine Stars, Icon etc? I do road race/track days (not on my Harleys) and find H-D leather very competitive. However, I'd never buy (or wear) a $120 leather vest
