Cruise control, XM radio, GPS, person to person communication, bike to bike communication, lowers, batwing, comfy seat, back rest... yes im spoiled. i rode a Vrode a while back for a test ride and couldnt wait to get back on my Gezzer sled... 46, not getting younger, just wiser....
Once you spend some time on a bike with a windshield, cushy seat and a stereo, it's hard to go back. Sometimes i take the windshield off my Heritage, but all it takes is a few miles over 55 mph to realize it just ain't that much fun anymore.
Sorry peeps I'm just too old school or what ever , I can relate to everything but the fugging stereo . They have no business on a motorcycle , you want tunes get an Ipod . I watch that dick wagging contest at the local poser bar fairly regular , 5 guys will have their stereo's blasting and no 2 on the same station or music style . Ends up sounding like a bunch of dueling off key mariachi bands .
Are you talking spoiled from riding your geezer ride?Your just not a kid anymore.I remember my first new Harley,a 1971 Sportster XLCH, rode it no windshield,no problem, was quite comfortable on it.Now I'll stick to a geezer ride also.
First time I've ever heard ironhead and comfortable in the same sentence. I love my old sporty but the road couch (king) is the scooter of choice for long rides. 100 miles on that ironhead and i'm buzzing all over from the vibration, my ears are ringing, and my *** is sore. 100 miles on the king is just the first pit stop.
The Road couch has spoiled me for sure but I'm keeping the sporty.
Did the same thing, once the 124" bike was done and dailed in,needed something with a lot more grunt. The 155" machine more than filled that need.Hint,do your own work, use Ebay, don't rush things and you can have these big inch powered hot rods for a lot less money then you would imagine.

Back in the late sixties a sportster was considered a big bike. When your 20,just out of the Marines, tough and hard as a nail, the ride was good or I didn't know any better.
