I am on business in San Diego (I am from VA) and managed to get to one of the SD Harley dealers yesterday. I had a little white rental car and got there about 1130. They were setting up for a Sat BBQ and live band so I stayed a bit. Of course all the bikes started showing up and my car was the only one in the lot I went to leave and actually got laughed at when I got in my car to leave. Course I just smiled and took it in jest.
God I wish I could ride out here... I looked into renting a bike, but I brought no riding gear etc... plus the cost of a rental with insurance is somewhat high IMO especially when I am making payments on mine back home. Guess I should plan out a cross country next year and hit the Black Hills enroute. What made it even worse is the hotel I am at had HAMSTERS show up for some sort of get together and their bikes were all over the parking garage... I gotta get home, the weather is gonna be too cold to ride soon enough.
