I've got the standard whatever they come with baffles in my V&H Big Radius, and I think they are just right. Not offensive when just cruising, but a nice throaty bite when I twist the wick...especially after the bike warms up some.
I have standard baffles in my V&H Big Shots, switched to quiets for two days and went back to Standards. I like the quiets, but out here in CA we lane split and quiets weren't cutting it.
Here's a couple clips of my bike and my neighbors, both bikes have the same cams. I run standards, he runs quiets;
I put quiet baffles in my Longshots, it sounds deeper and at highway speeds it is just a rumble. No way I would run the stock baffles again. I installed a Stebel Nautilus air horn, it works.
When I put V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes on my 05 Wide Glide I was not real happy with the sound. I put the Big City Thunder QQ baffles in and it quieted it down a little and made it sound like more of a low rumble. A big improvement in my opinion.
Ditto. I even took the removed stock V&H baffles on my Big Radius pipes and cut them down to 6" and bolted them in behind the BCT baffles. Deeper tone, nil metallic crack to them now and sound levels seem only slightly lower. Much improved! No loss of power and no need to re-dyno.
