Had my 3/4 Rockhard helmet on and realized how comfortable the strap is. I prefer riding with my DOT skid lid from leather Up though. The problem is the strap is crap and actually annoying.
Anyone find a low profile DOT skid lid that also features a decent strap?

I returned a Dot Half from leatherup because of the strap. It would not slide through the D rings to tighten it up without using 2 hands & manipulating the rings. And I don't like quick releases so back it went. I've never had this problem with Vegas, Fulmers, HD..........
Its the whole strap though. Its a hard plastic strap. A quick release wont do it. Think I need to find another brand thats close in profile but has more invested in the strap.

Plastic strap? Which helmet? Mine had a vinyl side cover but was normal under the chin area.

I got a Hells Bells helment. Its DOT approved, low profile and has some fancy art work.Get alot of complements on it as well. however they are very expensive. I wish i would have known about leather up back when i bought mine would have saved some money. But the helmet is very comfortable and looks great. hear is the link http://www.hellsbellscustoms.com/
I have three different Fulmer helmets and the straps on each are similar. They are comfortable and very secure. I like them. Oh, they each have a small button type snap so they are out of your way when cinched.
