Good low mileage number for an 04. Is it specced how you want or stock?
The number sounds pretty decent - I gave 12.5 for my 02 DWG that had 5k miles on it. But that was 3 weeks before the 07 rollout. If I had known I would have waited. But, the bike came with several of the things I was looking for and I won't have to get them done myself now.
Just remember sometimes a deal isn't a deal so to speak. Depends on what you want, say you want to do it up like the classic, and want a radio, at least 500.00 with speakers, ant, radio. then you want a new seat, 300. +, You want to paint it, well thats very expensive and alot of work taking everything off and putting it back on. see where Im going, now your up to the price or more than what you can buy a 04 classic or even a ultra for, and you would get thousands more, tour pack, and more. If you want to keep close to as is, then its a good buy, but every guy I know gets one, says that ,then later starts to add stuff, and before he knows it, he's spent more than he could have bought a ultra for, and its still a police model, which will always be less valuable than a civillian model. IMO
I paid 13,750 (plus sales tax) at a Georgia dealer for an '04 FLHTPI in February of 05 with 4,700 miles and documented service records plus new tires. If you can do it, wait until December and you can probably get an 05 for what you will pay now for an 04.
The price you are looking at now is not an awful or even a bad price; it is not, however, a great or even really good price IMHO.
