I am getting ready to do a stage one on my 2011 Road King Classic. I have vance and hines header and supper trapp se with Mikuni race cores. So the question is which stage one air cleaner would you go with. Arlen Ness air cleaner or Screaming Eagle stage one air cleaner would you choose? Thanks for any suggestions of other brands as well. Thanks
A/N Stage 1 works great!! You really don't need nothin' else.
Run it with the football or open with your choice of face plates.
Many cool ones to choose from..
This is a great outifit too. http://www.exotx.com/filters.htm

I installed a Ness Big Sucker and am very happy with it.
Just got a Ness Big Sucker II and it was missing a part in the kit...they are gonna send it but it's taking a long time. If you do order one, it would sure make sense to have them open it up and check for all the correct parts before sending it. Wish now I picked something else. Just a breather kit , including carb support bracket and find a backplate somewhere....and a cover.
Pete
i wouldnt usualy buy ness stuff, but i ran a big sucker before i got my S&S, to be honest it would be much of a much ness! with the SE you get the nice screaming eagle sticker for the filter cover!

The Arlen Ness is a cleaner set up then the Screamin Eagle, mainly because the breather passage is internal to the backing plate. The Screamin Eagle has black plastic ports where it mounts to the head, and the Arlen Ness has the same style chrome bolt that attaches the cover, but there undercut and ported for the internal breather passage.
