Cool Help with Exhaust PLEASE !!!
I just bought my first Harley. 2008 Road King Classic 105th Anniversary . I want to change the exhaust to the Samson true dual fish tail tips... I am being told by one guy that I can do the exhaust only for 1100.00, and it will work fine. Another shop is telling me I have to change the air filter as well as get a power commander III. Anyone have any input please !!!!

Does tha $1100 include install? I sell those pieps for $749 every day. If you are just doing pipes and are running a stock air filter you can do just the pipes. If you add a hi flow air filter you need some sort of tuner.

So they want 350 to install the pipes? Yikes!
Or is that for the pipes only? Double yikes!!!

True duals are a lot of work to install, but I vote do it yourself. I think it took me 4 hours the first time i did it. This was long before I worked for a shop and I called a local indy who wnated $400 I think. I laughed and hung up.

1100.00 is including the install.... However Dr V is sounding like the route to go !!!! I am being told that in the long run installing just the exhaust will over time affect the engine as well as possibly ride like s@#t !!!
