Hey guys
I just bought my 2010 wide glide
I love it
Love morning rides
However, two days ago I went for a ride in the night and found that the bulb is insuficient
Had to keep my high beam to keep a decent vision.
For starters, low beam was toooo low... At least that's my impression
Not sure if raising. It will improve
But I am seriously considering an option
Either auxiliary halogen or xenon set of lights
Or (to keep the line clean) a replacement lamp ( if there's something that would improve it thar's worth it).
Saw some LED headlights on the hd catalogue
But not sure if it's available for the wide glide
A set of two headlights could be an option (as the fat bob) but not sure how will they look with the stilyzed fork of the wide glide.
Any experience on this or improvements that could be recomended will be highly apreciated, as I said I'm not a night rider
But eventually there would be a night ride and I want to feel safe with good lights.
The LED headlight will fit your wide glide,You need the 5 3/4 size. I run the LED light and 35 w spots from Headwinds on my wide glide front end. WOW! what a difference, you can see twice as far and sidewalk to sidewalk.
I agree, I own a 2006 Wide Glide and would love to make the change to LED. I was told by the dealer the LED won’t fit the wide glide because the bucket is not deep enough. If you check their website it will state the 5.75 “ will not fit the Wide Glide.

When I checked on the 2011 parts catalogue It seems that the LED doesn´t fit the Wide Glide, just as eric 95 states; I assume I need to replace the whole unit and not only the lamp, correct?
will ask my dealer about it.
Do you have the parts and catalogue number needed to do the switch as you did?
both LED, supports, casing... and the 35W lamps look nice.
comparing the regular size lamp vs the LED, which one looks nicer?
I know I want a good light, but want to keep the clean looks
I just love my Wide Glide`s looks. simply beautiful.
thanks for sharing.
My bad, It's a good fit for 84 to 99, you would have to get an older bucket or a aftermarket light that is deeper Fits '06-later VRSCD, VRSCDX, '04-later XL (except XL1200X), '09-later XR, '91-'05 DynaŽ (except FXDWG), '84-'99 FXSTS, FLSTS, '00-'09 FXST, FXSTB and '08-later FLSTSB model.........

Try A PIAA H-4 Xtreme white bulb first. It draws 55 watts and puts out 110 watts. It won't melt your wires or switch and it costs under $40.It really lights up the road.

Check the angle of your headlight housing, shortly after I purchased my 09 low rider I was headed home on 94 past Gary, Ia etc about 10 at nite and I couldn't see sh$t! Once I was home, I checked the headlight & found the dang thing was set to high. Made a huge difference after I reset it.
+1 on getting the original headlight properly adjusted. But changing the bucket to accommodate a better light isn't that hard or expensive. I changed the stubby stock bucket on my 04 WG to a bucket from a Deuce. Just had to change the interior rubber mounts to solid. The longer shell with a trim-ring looked good.
