I did the same thing. The stock bulb just wasn't cutting it so before doing mods that would accommodate the HED, I tried the PIAA H-4. Wow, what a difference.

I have a 2007 Wide Glide...I know what you mean; wanting more light and the LED set up was just what I was looking for to get more light but keep the bike as clean as possible. I had the same question; "would it fit"? I researched for a while (a good friend of mine sent me this link in fact so I could see if anyone knew) and most of those I spoke with said it wouldn't fit my 2007 glide and a few others gave me a slight maybe. Looking at what the Harley parts book said, and it said it would fit the Softail Custom - I thought it should fit the glide. So after promising the dealer (a couple of times) that I wouldn't try and return it if it didn't fit (I thought if it came down to it I would change out the bucket if I had to) they finally agreed to sell it to me; I told them I felt lucky...and lucky I was; I put it in while in the Dealer parking lot. Took about 4 or 5 minutes and fit like a dream. It does a great job lighting up the street...and it adjusts well too so you can see good but not blind on coming traffic. Now the question is did they change light baskets on the 2010 from the 2007? I don't think so...I shoulda looked at the 2011 Wide Glide on the floor to see. Harley parts Rock!!! It comes in a chrome facing or a blacked out facing.
