Any ideas? I looked online, and it seemed rather complicated, having to do with some error codes. The bike runs like a champ, starts immediately, etc. The only thing I did recently was install an LED tail light and LED signal bulbs all the way around. Then it began. Today, I installed the HD running/stop/signal switch and the light went off, but just for a few minutes, then came on again.
The manual said to take it to my HD dealer. Having some measure of experience at that particular venue, I'd rather throw my beloved baby into the sea...
Go back and be sure that you followed all the instructions of installation of the HD LED modulator in the order that they where written... if you skip ahead or miss one step, the alarm system gets out of whack and the electrical system on the bike must be completely reset. You can do the reset, if you are willing to slow down and follow the pattern of codes one at a time in the right order.

Right you are. I did not remove either the main fuse or the negative battery terminal, for which all bikes must have one OR the other removed. However, the instructions said to do this to prevent accidental start up of the bike, so I deliberately avoided that step. The scoot was in neutral, and no way was I going to start that baby. Other than that, I followed the instructions to the "T". I wonder...
One more observation: The key light will never appear until the first time I have to use the directionals, either right or left. Then it will stay on until the bike is shut off. When restarted, no light until...you guessed it...
I think you need a load equalizer. The TSM or TSSM is looking for a certain current draw and the LEDs draw much less current - that's were the equalizer comes in.

I should have asked up front... which module did you install? Because tpmurray is correct you needed the module for the run, brake, turn with the built in load equalizer or an additional load equalizer to run LED turn signals.
