Wonder why the dealer didn't catch it and/or fix it before delivering to you?

Not long ago there was some poor guy on here who took delivery of a new RK that had the oil cooler missing and wrong derby cover. Wtf Harley?

It would be sad to believe that such a defect got through all those manufacturing and pre-delivery inspections and preparations and cleanings and detailings, AND a buyer actually BUYS it w/o noticing it until he gets the bike home!

Edit to add: Good man, frogg!

If it was me I would document it by getting a repair order from the dealer but then change my mind telling the dealer that you don't want it fixed after you have a copy of RO in your hands. I would keep it just like it is - but that's me.

When I went to pickup my last bike the whole bike was upside down - no way I was going to accept that.

lol

I only seen that happen one other time, but that was years ago when AMF took over Harley.
Glad you got it turned around.

+1 on that. I work in manufacturing, it'd be laughable if it wasn't soo serious at the parts that get returned. Some are 100% sorted, and still bad parts go out! wtf
