I don't know the details about your Road King, but that's a pretty lame complaint about the used seat you got on Ebay. Why would you think Corbin owes you any obligation to give you a deal on parts for a used seat you bought from some other guy? It would be kind of dumb for them to help the used market compete against themselves.
No one asked Corbin for a "deal". Only to sell an availiable part that they said they would happily sell to an original purchaser. Your comment would justify Harley not selling parts to someone who is not the original purchaser of an HD bike. Your bike would have little value in that case. If you really think is ok to only sell parts to the original purchaser of a product, I am afraid you would be part of the problem in this country, perpetuating a society of disposal, single use products, wasting valuable resources and filling the landfills. Regardless of you opinion on the Corbin, you should rethink your position in general.
The pigtail that plugs power into the control modul for the heated seat. Its a 6 pin female. Check Corp makes the heater units and supplies them to Corbin. I have contacted Check to see if tey will sell one. These units are normally used in automobiles and are thier "Luxuary" line of heaters.
That's odd. I bought a second-hand Corbin Classic solo that was missing some hardware. I called Corbin and they were very accommodating and sent the hardware I needed.
Well you can't blame Corbin when it was the seller on Ebay that screwed you. Ya Corbin probably should sell the harness by itself rather you bought it directly from them or not. This is why you have to be careful of what you buy on Ebay, look at the seller feedback percentage and the comments. Also make sure to read the description first, have any question just send it to the seller and if they don't reply then look somewhere else.
FWIW, somebody gave me a Corbin seat that was missing a bracket. They sent me the bracket really fast. And this was just so I could put the seat on ebay as a complete item.
I thought they were really cool about the whole thing. Did the whole interaction through email. Not much other experience with the company. I thought the quality of the seat was good.
I had just the opposite experience. The guy I bought my used solo from had lost the mounting hardware hardware (didn't show up when shipped). Corbin sold me the hardware for $50 (don't know if good deal or not) and then guy I bought seat from paid me back for it. I did also order a passenger pillion and back rest, but that was after they sold me the hardware.
