Just from personal experience I would not buy a Corbin ever again. I had 2 one on my 750 and one on my Nomad. Found out they rubbed the tank and went to bare metal.
When I called Corbin there cust service was very lacking. I had to pay to ship it back and for the repairs. i sent them many photos of how and wear it was rubbing. They modified the front and sent it back to me. I got the bike repainted, fully custom. Went to put the seat on and is still rubbed, I called them again and they said I woudl have to pay to send it back again. I flipped, never put the seat on and will never buy a Corbin again.
Treating your Customers like that will run customers away.
just a warning.
Don't know any vendors other than JP Cycles or Dennis Kirk but I would be sure to sit on the one you want before you buy.
A friend of mine bought one for his bike, a really good looking quality seat, but it was hard as a rock. I never heard him complain but I couldn't ride that bike any distance. It had no give at all.
Since Corbin is such a love-hate seat, I would suggest buying a used one that some bought and didn't like. Check the classifieds and eBay, you should be able to find a like new seat for way less then a brand new one.
l'm a huge Corbin fan. Probably got at least 250k+ miles on seven different Corbins, 4 different Harleys. I saw the note above about them not fitting his Yamahas. That's criminal, and they really should fit any model they sell. But their bread and butter is Harley customers and they know it. I also agree with the guy that posted try to find one on ebay. I've bought a couple on Ebay, pretty reasonable in good shape to decide if I liked that model before I bought it new. That's pretty sound advise. You can always unload it back on Ebay if you don't like it or when you buy the new model. When I say 250,000+ miles on Corbins, I mean it. They have really served me well. I have noticed a degrade in their customer service however over the last couple of years. C&C makes a great seat as well, and think the guys that started C&C both came from the original Corbin. At least that's what I've been told. So you can do the math. Good Luck.
I'd check out C&C if I were you. I had a Corbin for 18,000 mile cause I thought "this effer has got to break-in, everybody loves Corbins!". Bought a C&C in 06 and have never looked anywhere else sense.
