Back's in the day, whens all we had was-a-Kick starters, some of us'es roaders got mixed up after the drunk parties.
and couldn't remember wither we pose to kick up the kick-stand and kick down the kick starter, or kick down the kick-stand and kick up the kick startor.

So they renamed it cause's sometimes we'd be in a hurry to leave then all we had to remember was kick down the kick starter.
Thus the JIFFY stand.

My adherence to correct nomenclature (whenever possible) is probably due in large measure to my 32 years in uniform. The general expectation was to say precisely what you meant, and mean precisely what you said.
