Default Ideas?

Hey all.. I currently have an 06 night train and am thinking about trading it in on something different. The two models that I am looking at are a heritage softail classic and a road king classic. I'm looking for something that will be better for long trips and the occasional two-up. I was wondering what the pros and cons of these two models are and which one you would go with and why....
Thanks in advance...
Chris

The Softail will sit you lower in the saddle but the RK will most likely give you a better ride. Either one can be taken on long trips. The stock seat on the Heritage is not the most comfotable, I found it hard to do more than an hour on it. I just recently changed to a Corbin seat and yesterday I did a two hour ride was out for and hour and back on for two hours and had no discomfort. The RK has a softer ride. I think either way you go you can set it up to fit you. I like them both.

yeah, the RK is a plusher ride, but other than that mostly the same. Close it weight, not much power difference (by feel).

I have a RK and love it. However, if you are looking to move up to a long distance cruiser I would go ahead and move ALL the way up to a fairing bike. I go the RK because I wanted the option of windshield or no windshield. Now I'm looking at aftermarket quick disconnect fairnings for the tunes. I like the bikes with hard bags for the storage and being able to lock up my stuff. I ride with friends who have everyting from springers to Nite Trains. He!!, get one of each.

Man sorry to see you get tired of your Train after only 6 months.....

Nothing against RK's or Heritages, but I wouldn't take either one of them for my NT even up....

Like 'em Clean, Lean,'N Mean

But that's just me,people change.

Hard choices, depends on what you want/need the scoot to do for you. In the end you have to sit on both, ride both if you can and decide which bike is for you

I GOT IT!!! Put one of those Rifle bat wings on the 'train, change out the bags to hard leather, and put a king/queen seat on, Problem solved.

I agree...if you are going to go comfy, go all the way and get the electra glide.

Take care,

RK will give you a better ride, Heritage vibration will "zing" above 65 mph, RK will not. Sooner or later, Ultra.
