Just like so many other things opinionated people will come out of the woodwork, carb vs EFI,helmets, leathers, etc. It is individual preference.Mine is carb every time love to tweak them at a whim and most definetely love all that a carb offers.Yup,an old school Harley rider/builder.

I prefer EFI.
Carburetors are adjustable, but archaic compared to self adjusting EFI. As far as sound, drop in a 204 cam and it'll sound like a Harley of old.

Someone mentioned Nascar as a reason to like a carb. It's definitely not a performance advantage to keep a carb, nor is it a tuning advantage, it's about simplicity.
If Nascar switched over to EFI, they would open a can of worms they couldn't accurately and easily control. There are some technological genuises in Nascar that could bury tuning advantages within their own tables that Nascar couldn't keep up with.
The may be a time where they do switch, but I guarantee there will be a set and regulated tuning table.

Thought the same about carb bikes, but changed mind w/09 (EFI). Not going back - runs smoother, no "cold" engine stutter & just rund better overall...JMO.
