Not hardly. After 3 Heritage Classics, I traded for an '08 Road King. What a flippin'
joke for a bike. I couldn't wait to get rid of the RK. Made it 6 months. Back on a
Heritage and I will not have another Road King "Wobblin' Gobblin" again or another FLH !!
Wife and I picked up our "new" '09 Ultra last Saturday. We promptly logged about 311 miles on it that day. She did so in comfort... a far cry from the 200 miles MAYBE (if the planets were aligned right) that she could do on the back of my Deuce.
Whereas I agree about the ride and comfort of a touring bike... I gotta' admit: I'm missin' my Deuce. REALLY bad.
If I was rich, the Deuce would have stayed and would have added the Ultra alongside it. Alas, I'm a working slob that can only spend so much.
"One of these days"... don't be surprised to learn that I've added a Deuce back to the stable alongside the Ultra.
The 2009+ toruing bikes are so smooth....so fine.....you will never want ANYTHING after you starting riding one!
****....I was a chopper ridin'...chopper buildin' FOOL...and now I am FLAT HOOKED!
You have been warned.
Seriously, don't do it unless you are willing to get one. My new 2011 Superglide is LIGHT YEARS ahead of any bike I have ever built or owned.
Riding a Streetglide is like cruising around in a led sled 50 Mercury. Just too cool.
Like sleepin' with a chick with big t&A.....just "feels good".

I disagree, I know I wouldn't want one even if I test rode one. Too big and clunky. Even if I enjoyed the ride I wouldn't want one I'd be too afraid of dumping it with my current skill level.
Plus baggers are for old guys. I'm not ripping I'm just saying the don't appeal to a 23 year old.
