Default Lucky Guy

I was at the Harley dealer yesterday to pickup my bike up from having some new stuff installed (pics soon) and there was another guy there. He was taking delivery of a brand new, fully customized 2005 Fatty. The bike was valued around $28,000. The great part was that he had just won it at the Foxwoods casino a week prior on a .50 cent slot machine!!! I was a little jealous but even more happy that the bike was won by a real motorcycle fan. This guy said he had been riding for a long time and he was going to keep the bike to ride instead of selling it for the money. He had a Sportster which he had sold prior to picking up the new Fatty. LUCKY STIFF!

You are right, talk about lucky. I think that it would be great to win any Harley and he won a Fatty, way to go.

My wife owns a tanning salon and one of the guy that comes in to tan just won one also. He works at a factory in the next town over. He went to work friday night and bought a raffle ticket for $5. His wife and him took off to Canada for the weekend. The ticket was for a bike rally close by. He comes back Monday to find out he won the bike and take delivery. It's a custom bike and he doesn't even ride or have a cycle endorsement. He came into the tanner and was telling my wife about it. Naturally I'm think that maybe I could pick up the bike as he is planning on selling it for a reasonable price. He comes in and tells the wife the bike is worth 35k and he will take no less than 28k for it. Some people have all the luck

Selling the Sporty should just about cover the income tax he'll owe on it...unless he can show and validat $28,000 worth of gambling losses. But still, for .50 or 5.00 or even 50.00, I'd be happy to worry about the tax consequence. Art

I've never won a bike but I have won two rifles before. THe first one my Stepson's high school was having a raffle for the kids to raise money for a drug and alcohol free all night party at the school for the grads. It was awesome but I won't bore you guys with the details.
Anyway that one was a Winchester model 70 in .270, stailness with Leupold Gold Ring scope, the next to the top model they sell, sling and a case for it for $5.00. I got 6 tickets for the 5 spot and one of them was the winner for that. I have it right in the old gun safe. Then last year I won a Win .7mm WSM. I didn't like that gun at all and traded it for a pistol.
That's as close as I came to the bike which was the big prize on the last one.
That is a very awesome story about the guy winning the bike though. COngrats and I wish him many very happy miles. SpiderJim.

Well hell, Spidey...Just shoot the guy who won the bike! Don't think that they raffle off firearms in IL. You can't even "touch" one at a gun store without a FOID card.(Firearms Owner's I. D.) A $12.00 tax to be able to touch! Sounds kinda like a 2 drink minimum at a whorehouse!
Congrats on the wins. Art
