I bought a used 2010 Ultra last fall with Python slip-ons. The bike runs great, but is lacking a little in bark department. I was wondering if I can simply replace the existing slip-ons with another brand without remapping.
Also, any recommendations for slip-ons that have a deep bark when when under heavy acceleration, but are very mellow and quite while cruising on the highway.
Are you able to un bolt the end of your pipes & remove some baffles?
Talked to the dealer today. Dealer said if I remove the baffles, the bike wont run as good because of loss of back pressure. I also found a post on hdfourms, that stated that sound wasn't so good without the baffles.
I also discovered that I don't have a stage 1 AC, just slip-ons and maybe a little tunning. Dealer stated I could just replace the slip-ons without retuning.
I get my Vance and Hines slip ons tomorrow, I have heard they sound great, cost me only $250, I will post tomorrow on how I think they sound. To set my reference, before I bought my Fatboy, I had the Sportster 1200 with drag pipes. That bike sounded awesome.
