Default led BRAKE light

i just got aled break light with turn signals for my 95 sportster. after wiring it all up the break and license plate light stay on when i connect the red wire to the black and the blue wire to the red and when i use the break pedal nothing happens and when i switch it so the red to red and blue to black. then the break light stays on and when i push on the pedal the plate light goes on. i was wondering if i need a load equalizer for the running light side or if it is something else. cause when i connected the turn signals i needed to put one on there so i am wondering if i need one for the running/plate light too. any help i could get would be a great help

If I understand what you are saying, the answer is no... you do not need a module to connect brake or running LED lights... are the brake light and turn signals in the same unit and is it plug and play? If so, then you need a module that will work both... if not, then you can run the brake light separate from the turn signals without a module but you have to find the right wires... should be three wires 1 hot 2 brake 3 ground.

I replaced mine last summer. If I remember right, there were 2 wires coming from the bike and 3 on the light unit. I just grounded the third one and it works fine.
