Question drivers backrest

Looking at drivers backrest for my 08 ultra. There seems to be 2 types adjustable and non adjustable. Any experience with either and does it interfear with the passenger getting on or off? Will probaly have to buy new cant find any used , unless some one has one for sale. I plan on doing an iron butt soon and think it will make it more enjoyable

You can buy the adjustable for around $250.other one will cost around $160 new.Get the adjustable it has way more padding on the back side and is more comfy for your passenger. The adjustable part is really neat to do on the fly. Used are hard to find and model specific.

I wish you luck on your search.

I am looking for one myself to fit on a 97 Roadking.(if anybody has one to get rid of) I have the Sundowner seat with a slot for Backrest. In fact, the mounting hardware is there where it has had a driver's backrest on it. I just didn't get it when I got the bike.

Thanks,
Jeff

Don't waste your time, or money on the non-adjustable one.. I've had both and the adjustable is WAY better. The non adjustable one, sits you too upright..

+1 on the adjustable. Mine saved me lots of hurt when I could adjust it to different positions on my last cross country ride.

I never change my adjustable, so the extra cost was a waste on me. If I was to do it all over, I would buy a Mustang backrest. But, of course, that's just me!

You gotta have it. I have only had the adjustable and it really makes a difference especially when you don't have a passenger. I did a Iron Butt last year and made the ride from Colorado to Alaska in 03.

Adjustable, never a sore back when riding.

I put a non-adjustable one on my '03 RKC, with stock seat.... it pushed me too farward and the slot in the seat doesn't allow the mounting of the bracket far enough back.

and I'm only 6ft tall.
