Very simple to install with only a couple of basic tools - no dealer intervention needed. Roughly half an hour working carefully. You are welcome to view my "speedo/tach install" album on my member's page. Hope that helps.

I just installed mine. Took about 20-25 minutes and I took my time doing it. Just hooked new speedo up to data link connector to copy odometer data using supplied cable and removed seat, pulled main fuse, removed dash console from tank, unplugged wires from speedo, removed speedo from dash, installed new speedo into dash and put it back together. No problems at all.

I put one on my bike and really like it..............easy to install, took a whole 15min tops.

I was going to go with a separate tachometer, but with installation and wiring it was going to cost about the same, and take a whole lot longer.

It wasn't that bad, just take your time and follow the directions. It is really worth it, this thing is frickin' cool as heck!

Just installed mine. It's great but I got one complaint or maybe I didn't set it up right. Whenever I pull the clutch in when I'm comming to a stop, the gear indicator goes away. It does not come back on until I get moving again. I think that takes away from the gear indicator purpose. Any suggestions or help?

Got this on my 07. Apparently, the tach wiring is in there already. Expensive little upgrades, but I couldn't live without it...

The gear indicator shows what gear you are "supposedly" in determined by rpms. Pulling the clutch in drops the rpms on the tach to 0, hence gear indicator light goes out. A feature?

Easy install on my GF's Softail Deluxe '09

I am still amazed that Harley Davidson doesn't include a tachometer on all of their motorcycles. My Lowrider had one. My Tbird has one....my daughters Honda Civic has one. WTF?

My '12 Deluxe stock gear indicator goes out when I pull the clutch lever. It only shows what gear it's in when the clutch is engaged. I don't know why but it is that way when the bike comes out of the factory.
