Hey all I live in Oh and found out recently that I will be in Ft Lauderdale at christmas time. i have the option of trailoring my sporty on the trip. does anyone know how the riding is that time of year? I was a little concerned about all of the "older snowbirds" that inhabit the area that time of year. The allure of a week of mid winter riding may be to hard to resist. What do all think? And anyone in Ft Lauderdale want to meet up?
Yes you have to be diligent when the gray hairs come rolling in, but such is life to live in the Tropics.
Drive defensively, always keep an escape path, give way to the cages because they are bigger, and live to ride another day.
Thanks chops. Do you live in the area? Can you shed any light on what the weather may be like that time of year? I am thinking of cruising down the FL KEYS

I live here. Weather is usually great from about now until around May when the heat starts building. Toy run is on Dec. 10. I ride my sporty to work a lot through all the traffic. You just need to be triple alert. As far as the toy run no cagers to worry about because the PD shuts down all the roads including the interstates for the run. Usually takes about 4 hours to do the 26 miles, depending on where you are in the maze...
Great cause though!
