Default Kinda ticked...

Well after riding for a 2 days with the baffles out on my V&H ShortShots I decided to put the baffles back in... when I took the exhaust off I must've drug the flange across the very end of the head stud and folded it... I tried last night for 4 hours to get the nut on and now I'm having to file the threads a little to get the bolt started. I'm really ticked!!! I bought the bike brand new 2 weeks ago and it doesn't even have 400 miles on it!!!

I know this is no constellation now but you should have used a thread die. I’ve got a collection of dies and taps that have only been used once in some cases.

I'm going to home depot at lunch to see if I can find a set. I figured that since it was the tip of the head bolt the die would have to come on from behind it and the bolt is still in the bike

Sometimes a 2 minute job turns in to a 2 hour job! I hate when that happens! Part of life! You'll get it fixed!

I seem to always have issues like that. Something that should take minutes turns into hours because of some stupid insignificant issue. Glad you got it working. Give the rest of us hope to keep working when it happens to us.
