also Does anyone have one of these bikes with a w/shield ??i have the 06/07 accesories catalog but i dont see any w/shileds listed at all for the switchblade fxdwg2cvo??my dealer hasnt ever seen one of these he says GEEZE whats up with that .any way can i call harley in york where the bike was made????or do i call customer service in wisconsin and ask them.Any help would be much appreciated.
Peter: Many bikes have a built in lock and the wheel has to be turned to the right. The cover should still fit over it. Make sure you have the right size cover to accomodate the windshield. It usually requires a xl or xxl.
In the end, your goal is to cover the bike. If it covers the bike, you shouldn't worry about the way it looks.
Should fit w/wheel turned, and yes the big emblem goes to the front. Easiest way I put on garage covers is lay it over the top, stretch out the emblem just over the handlebars, and pull the front lip down over the wheel. Then take the back and cover the rear wheel. Finally pull the sides over the foot controls and done.
