Possibly the ultimate dumb thread.
I know that many of the law enforcement folks ride harley "police" bikes and from time to time they can be found at auctions. My question is, are this bikes strickly for LEO's or can they be bought new by Joe Citizen? Not looking to buy one buy one but I am curious.

When I stopped in Big Sky H-D in Great Falls Montana last summer they had several slightly used ones for sale. The sales guy said they sell a lot of them. If you are looking one you might check out their website.

I'be seen brand new ones at dealer for $19000 plus and ones with only 350 miles or so on them for $1000 less(but shorter warranty because year old). Fully equip except siren and red/blue lights. Nice because cop seat, oil cooler, big motor, etc. Many with 3500 to 8500, one to three years old for less. Good luck.

In answer to your question, yes they can be bought new from a Harley dealer by Joe Citizen. They can also be bought used by Joe Citizen.
