Vegas, cool. That should be a great ride. Are you going up through the mountains or some other route?
going to Reno from here to scoop up a bro then headed east from there..still debating on which camping site would be best, looking at tilford gulch, suziescamp etc..all on a budget..
I'm headed out on the 29th, 3 nights in Cody and 3 nights in Custer. Moteling it all the way I'm just a little to old to be sleeping in the dirt.

I haven't decided if I'm going to take a run out there this year or not...when are you going and what route you taking?
We are staying off the interstate as much as possible so have planned back roads most of the way. Hwy 20 through WA then to Lewiston ID to Missoula Mt on Hwy 12. Then to Cody Wy and to Sturgis. We're planning on taking 3 days to get there.

Looks like we're out for Sturgis. My wife isn't into it this year. Too many negative experiences last time we went, she's not interested in going back. I'll be working on her for next year though.
I love the rides down there, I love the events they have going on. I really wanted to see the AMA flat track, and the hill climb. They always have top name concerts, I love the music. I even love the free music they have playing in bars like The Full throttle.
The camping is great, the weather is hot, sometimes it rains or hails but you take the bad with the good.
I'm disappointed but will be be back next for sure. (hopefully),
