Guy came to our group last week on a Yammie wearing a vest with 4 HOG patches on it. I asked him where his Harley was. He looked at me so strange as he said I've never owned a Harley. I asked him about the patches and he said that all V-Twins are hogs but someone had given them to him.
Few weeks ago I saw a guy in the mall parking lot getting out of a nice Harley edition Ford truck with a lift kit and custom wheels. He was wearing a Harley t-shirt and Harley riding boots and a big Harley belt buckle so I asked him what kind of bike he rode as I was on my Ultra Classic when I pulled in next to him. He said he rode a Yammy sport bike, but someday he'd like to own a Harley.
That's great LOL! I had a Kaw and HD at the same time and never mixed the geat or shirts. I wear my HD cloths most of the time, but if I did not have an HD I would not wear it. I still have a few Honda shirts from back in my Honda dirt bike, qaud and sport bikes days, but I only wear them when mowing the yard or washing the cars. I guess if you can't have the best bike brand might as well look like you do LOL!
My son rides his Street Bob with his Honda armored jacket. At a motorcycle shop at the end of the Dragon last year, someone asked why he had a Honda Jacket on. He said "It was on clearance."
For his recent birthday, I got him a HD leather jacket to ride his VTX1800 with.
That should balance things out.
You can see the little Honda Wing on the shoulder.

Schu has the right idea. Think I will go dig out one of my Star t's and take a spin. Then I will have to search the Yamaha/Star forums tonight to see if anyone caught me in the act!
Although this time of year there is always a ton of bikes up in Oatman. Maybe I should go there and see if I pop up on here later?
