Dear God you are right. It is so damn depressing here in northern Ohio. Now that the weather is better, here comes the bugs. Oh well, a few months and I can put it back into storage. Now where did I put that darn snow shovel?

I tried all the things mentioned on here and none really worked. Dawg sent out a link for this cool thing that works like a charm. It's green, plastic coated and fairly firm so you can twist, bend and roll it into almost any shape you like. This works perfectly! Just shape it and slide it under your oil filter and aim the bottom part to your container and, poof, no mess!!

I first let it drain from the oil pleug awhile then I cut a 2 liter soda bottle and slide over the filter after I have loosened it. This does not necessarily stop the spillage, but it keeps it to a minimum. I then spray the area with gunk or carb cleaner and water to get any spillage off.

How about a warning before saying something funny, was trying to drink. I guess what makes it so funny is having had the same wonderful feeling of oil running down the arm before.

Nice setup, but you better hope you don't ever have to tighten the clamps on those oil lines while you're on the road, LOL...
