If you ride any distance you will never regret having cruise control.
Honestly, that's the only time I ride. If my bike leaves the garage I am going to be gone for at minimum of 4 days. Never have enjoyed riding to work...would rather just keep going.
I put a customized cycle cruise on my 06 Heritage about 3 years ago. They were under $700.00 at that time. Mine works great. I went on a 3,700 mile trip right after installing it. It was worth the $$ to me..

Good luck!
Did you perform the installation yourself? Does the module reside in front of the rear wheel?
Cruise control is awesome. I rode over 300 miles home today and can still use my right hand!
Uhh you can't ride 300 miles without a cruise control and still use your right hand afterwards?
I would love to have one for really long rides but it isn't exactly neccessary for me unless I decide to do 2,000 miles in 2 days again. After that I really did have problems using my right hand.
I recently got a throttle mate and that should work well enough for me to give my hand a break once in a while.
Yes, I installed the cruise myself. It took me around 15 or 16 hours but I took my time making sure everything was correct.
The module does bolt in front of the rear wheel. The cable then runs along the right side of the frame, crossing over to the left side then up under the tank to hook into the throttle body. The directions were fair but I did have to call them one time. They were great to help.
If you install yours & have any problems, I will be glad to help if I can.
