Default Derby cover diameter??

Just thought this was kind of odd. Bought a "live to ride" derby cover for my 2011 Road King. Got the factory cover off and when I put the new cover up against the opening in the primary I noticed it was slightly smaller in diameter than the factory cover. The new flat gasket fit fine and the bolt pattern was correct etc. The cover went on perfectly and so far isn't leaking. The part number I got was 25340-99A. The parts book only has 2 versions of the live to ride cover and the other would obviously not fit this motor. So either the 1/10 inch gap I now have around the outside edge of the derby cover is normal, or they don't make a live to ride cover that fits this motor? Can anyone that has installed this cover on a late model 96CI shed some light on this?

Yeah I just replaced my plain derby cover for the "Motor Co" one this week and it was the same as you describe.
