RE: Do you cover your face with something while riding?
ORIGINAL: anubisss
Like a bandana or something else? Obviously only if you wear a half helmet...What do you use, and where did you get it. Do you have a pic of it on your face? I need something as it is gonna get cold here eventually...Thanks...
I wear this with my Half Helmet when it is 40 or below. Works awesome!

i use one of those leather bandanas when its cold enough outside to warrant its use. however after a ride friday night in in low 30 degree weather im looking at getting a fleece hood or a full face helmet.

For me, Cool temps = windshield + bandanna below the eyes + bandanna above the eyes + goggles + half helmet
I might look like a cross between the Mummy with a bad hangover and a bank robber but there's no way I'm buying a FF helmet.

I wear one of those neoprene and fleece face masks. It pretty much blocks all the wind. I wear it with a 3/4 w/ face shield. And I wear a neck gator as well. What I do is tuck the face mask under the collar (zipped all the way up) of my jacket liner. THen the neck gator over this. THen I zip the leather jacket collar all the way up. It is nice and sung (not suffocating) and keeps the neck warm and traps the hot air well by doing this "layering".
The half face mask I use looks kind of like this one -- it velcros in the back so you can adjust it for a snug fit. I should buy another for back-up just in case I ever lose it.

Wear your good armoured or leather jacket, chaps, scarf around your neck and a full face helmet and you should have no troublke being comfy any day of winter here in SoCal. It never gets that Cold .
RE: Do you cover your face with something while riding?
If it is cool 30-40degrees i wear a bandana on my head and my face. Colder than 30 I have a neoprene half face mask that I also use for hunting that I wear. It is camo, but if it is cold I don't care what I look like. No helmet law here, so I don't know what would work with/under a helmet.
