Guess I missed the fun! I turned north (actually west) on 14 from 59 instead of south, or I might have had a chance to ride to Evansville and meet Barney. I did meet the the Blanchardville, WI policeman yesterday at the Blanchardville Co-op and he seemed like a nice guy. He told me about his 03 Heritage with the 100th black / silver paint job.
We took that same route on Saturday, after our stop in Blaanchardville, we ended up in Beaver Dam for the evening. Headed out to Bellevue IA on Sunday, and spent the evening. They had a GREAT fireworks display.
Still don't understand why someone carries around empty cans on a motorcycle. Everytime I stop and get a drink of pepsi the can or bottle ends up in the trash at the place I bought it..... Also congrats Schumacher on being sober. It good to know that some people still know when enough is enough and things need to change for the better. Hope everything keeps going good your way.

Certainly don't know in this case, but I have taken a beverage out of my saddlebag at a stop where there wasn't anyplace to throw it away. So, I just keep it to toss at the next available trash can.
If I am out for an extended ride I usually have a collapsible cooler on board. Some stops are just a place I can safely pull off the road.
Don't see why that's hard to imagine.
My 76 year old Aunt walks in the early mourning and as she does so she picks up aluminum cans undoubtedly with a few Beer cans mixed in. Can she be arrested for an open container? HUMMMMMM.......
Aunt Agnes drop those cans and run! Barney's loadin' his bullet in his gun!
you were just being a good sameritan picking up trash in a public park, if you had ridden over that beer can someone threw in the parking lot, it could of caused one of the bikes to go down,so you picked it up to throw in a trash can....let them try to prove you wrong..the power rangers don't actually have any more authority then a security guard..i got pulled over in a park once because the ranger "rode a 250cc streetbike and my bike sounded like i was going fast",i was only going 5 mph tops..i had no insurance on the bike.he said if i didnt bring an insurance card to the office he was going to send a ticket to the state for speeding and no ins.that would be an automatic license suspension..i got ins.an hour later and went to take it to the office, there was no one there so i never turned the card in..i haven't heard anything else in 15 years.. got pulled over in the same park a year later,i told the park ranger to f-off when he walked up to my bike, then i slowly rode away out of the park and down the road
Be carefull with those park rangers, if he is in fact a ranger here in Ohio they are sworn officers with full arrest power.

OK, now this is just getting ridiculous. You're comparing your 76 year old aunt to a group of bikers??
IMO, the bottom line of this whole thread is: Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. AND... especially don't whine about it on a public forum.
