Either way, the whole operation was completely unproffesional, and civilians do have the right to conduct a citizen's arrest, ..
Right or wrong, I'd pay to see a civilian attempt to conduct a citizen's arrest on a uniformed peace or police officer. I'd have to imagine that it wouldn't go over to well..........
This has been very entertaining at best. I know several people that drink and drive a motorcycle, I never will. I also know that in some states that an open container is against the law even if you have not been drinking and you have it in open site. I had one in the back of my van and was stopped and got a ticket for it. The judge threw it out because I was honest, told him that I was returning the cans for a nickle at the store after a party and that one fell out of the bag and if the police would of looked he would of seen that I had 3 trash bags full. The thing is know the laws of the state you are in and follow the law. I also want to say that anyone that has given up drinking congradulations it is very difficult to do and I know that there are days that are very difficult, but you will never have to deal with this guys problem.
