I am currently living in Thailand and am riding a 2010 FLHTC, USA specification that I imported into this country. There is an authorized Harley Davidson dealer in Bangkok. I, along with many other riders have attempted to get service from that dealer, and have been refused service. We are not looking for warranty service and are more than willing to pay for services rendered.
The dealer states that they will service only bikes that they have sold, and not any other Harley's that have been brought into the country. My bike has been legally imported, taxes and duties paid, titled and registered. My question is, does anyone have any idea why an authorized dealer would refuse to work on a Harley Davidson, or why HD would allow this to occur by an authorized dealer.
I just can't figure it out or understand from a business perspective why they would want to forgo all of that additional revenue as I know many bikers who would pay to have an authorized dealer service their bikes.
I am very disappointed in the fact that HD would allow this to happen. I am sure if I bought a Harley here and shipped it back to the USA I could get service from a dealer in the States. Any thoughts?
Has nothing to do with HD different country different rules.
HD is stuck living by theirs.
There are some conflicts north of the board here with a few thing due to their rules
