Here is the invoice dated 04/06/1914 showing my cousin's grandfather (Lars Johnson) purchased the bike for $245 and put $10.00 down. My oh my, how times have changed! LOL I got a new battery for the FXD and a belt for my fat self last week at the local dealer and it cost more than that.

Love those old pictures! Keep them coming as you find more. I wonder if any of the pictures from today will look as classic 50 years from now?

I really enjoy all of these pictures. I think I'm the first one in my family to ride. I can't remember anyone else riding so I guess need to leave some for my kids and grand kids LOL.

OMG these pics are just too cool. I love these pics of yesteryear... When you look at those old Harleys you realize they really havent changed all that much in the basic design of fenders, windshield, gas tank, etc. Awesome!

Yep, nothing like those old pics. The riding gear (caps, boots, etc.) is always interesting to see.
