With respect to all who posted
I ain't just Florida
Here in NY the PD seem to think it is OK to blast a Biker. In the last 6/7 months there have been many left turn incidents yet not one cage was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
Face it guys and Gals we don't count

Sorry but it is. Run over someone intentionally with a car and you really have a problem. Hit someone accidentally and kill them you may not even get a ticket depending on circumstances. As it should be.

You probably do feel that way considering no one in your country is allowed to own a gun. So your weapon of choice would be a ''loaded'' MG? I'm gonna go practice my quick draw before me and the kids play chicken with a case of dynamite.

I remember an accident a year or so back in my neck of the hood. A guy pulled to the shoulder of a 45 mph road and checked his tire. He went to get back in and a lady veered over the right line and smashed him against His car. He died on the way to the hospital. She was charged with a driving infraction. With death, the fine imposed was 1000 and a possibility of losing her license for 6 months. It happens all the time. It's becoming the norm. It shouldn't be. And that is part of the problem. I am not here to say she should be in jail. She, as was said in a post about the 19 year old, did nothing criminal, but there should be more penalty and complete loss of driving privileges.

I don't have the answer, just something for you all to ponder. If a 90 year old Q-tipped snow bird and I run someone over in the same type of crash, should the punishment be the same? Also, what if I was drunk, yet I could function( walk, talk and balance) better than the 90 year old? should we be treated differently?

As I posted above...

Look at the Kid's website and then tell me he shouldn't be snuffed!

What was the guy that got killed thinking when he put himself in that position in the first place? Why did he not wait a few seconds before trying to get back into the car? My point in all this is common sense. If due care were to be practiced by all there would be far fewer accidents. When I'm on the road or along side it I'm looking out for me. Some people think laws will protect you, they don't. It's your *** and it's up to you to take care of it. If it isn't important to you what makes you think it is important to a stranger whom you have never met?

The kid needs to be sent reminders in the form of birthday, holiday cards every year from the kids & parents of the victims stating thanks to you we will never get to celebrate another birthday, holiday with them. You just go have yourself a ducky life & remember, what goes around comes around.
